Around eighty men from Macedo de Cavaleiros' Fire Brigade fought three consecutive criminal forest fires in the remote village of Sezulfe in northern Portugal.

The Fire brigade was supported by air by an helicopter and on the ground by several fire trucks, tractors and diggers.

Portugal has, in the past months, been severely affected by forest fires, the majority of them believed to be started by arsonists.
